6th ASEF Classroom Network

On 9-13 October 2006 in Kerkini, Serres Prefecture, Greece, participating educators considered how best to build on the successes of the ASEF Classroom Network, with particular emphasis placed on the expansion of the online network.

The achievements of the ASEF Classroom Network were plain to see at this edition of the conference, in which 80 secondary and high school teachers and educators from 28 ASEM partner countries participated. During this focal annual face-to-face ASEF ClassNet event, participants considered the ever-growing online activities of ASEF ClassNet.

With expert speakers and practical workshops, teachers explored how best to use ICT in their ASEF ClassNet Online Collaborations, and considered good practices from elsewhere in Asia and Europe. Working groups convened to propose and develop ideas for the future ASEF ClassNet Online Collaborations, which resulted in participating teachers co-designing 32 new proposals for future Online Collaborations. 6 of the previous year’s Online Collaborations were presented with ASEF ClassNet Awards in recognition of their outstanding work.
