|Title||Biodiversity in My Town and its Importance for the Sustainable Development of the World|
|Theme||Environment and Sustainable Development|
Students from Asia and Europe took pictures or made paintings about biodiversity (animals and plants) in their own town, and published them in a common internet site with brief description about the species. Teachers from each school discussed the term “Sustainable Development” with their students, and focused on why biodiversity is important. The term “Sustainable Development” is a key aim of the present generation. Educational materials and links about sustainable development were published on the internet site by the teachers. A competition for best picture and best painting of biological species was also held at the end of the project.
