Chain Stories 2012

Description

In its 4th edition, the “Chain Stories 2012″ project allowed the participating students to write chain stories in English of 5 different categories; thriller, fairy-tale, fantasy, Robinsonade, and a story without genre. The objective of the project was to have fun while writing a story. At the same time, the students had the opportunity to learn about different genres as they explored the English language. They also had the opportunity to chat with the other participating students in English using the website. Each chapter ended with a polar question; whether the character “should do something” or “shouldn’t”. Then there were two groups to continue the story. One group continued as if the person “did something” and another group continued as if they “didn’t”. Both groups then ended their chapter with a choice as well, and this cycle continued. The students decided themselves how long the story should be. An illustration could also be created along with the new chapter. The final product was an interactive “book” where each student can decide how the story will continue.
