Chain Stories

Title Chain Stories
Theme Arts and Culture
Year 2009
Status Completed

Description

This project “Chain Stories” allowed the participating students to write three chain stories of different categories like thriller, fairy-tale and science fiction. Six different groups of participants could contribute a linking chapter to a single ‘chain story.’ The beginning of a story was written, and each group continued the story from the former chapter, deciding for themselves how long the story should be. An illustration could also be created along with the new chapter. The final product was a book containing 6 pictures for each of the chain stories. The stories were all written in English. The rationale was to have fun while writing a story, and at the same time, for students to have the opportunity to learn about different genres as they explore the English language.
