Eco-Calendar

Students were guided by their teachers to create an Eco-Calendar. They researched dates on which environment-related issues are globally recognized and celebrated such as Earth’s Day, the Water Day etc. The students also researched the history of these dates and how they have been commemorated over the years. Thereafter, they posted their reports on the project homepage and created their own version of an Eco-Calendar which included some special environmental protection and sustainable development events hosted in their home country. The project developed and promoted the exchange of good practices in education and cultural relationships. It also promoted collaborative learning and the use of ICT in education in order to enhance students’ knowledge and the quality of the teaching – learning process.
