Flavours Of The World

Title Flavours Of The World
Theme Arts and Culture, History
Year 2007
Status Completed
Award
Description

The aim of the project was to introduce cultural aspects of food across the world, and how local history and culture have been integrated into a nation’s culinary heritage. The idea was to explore five recipes from the cuisine of the countries participating, and introduce the myths, customs, stories and history behind the special cuisine during different festivals.

An online recipe book with pictures, information, and myths linked to the cuisine was created based on this information. Students also provided information by doing individual work on local culture by interviewing locals, doing research and providing a background of the people to which the cuisine belongs.
