Description |
The project aimed at involving secondary school students into actively investigating, comprehending, and debating the interconnectedness of the world, especially between Europe and Asia, in different periods of our history including the current day. The objective was to realize that our world, in all its variety and apparent multiplicity, is based upon the constant contact, movement and exchange of people, ideas, products, institutions and ecologies across the continents. The aim was for students to become engaged in the investigation of our shared past with their own research projects, exchange of ideas, and development of arguments with their local and international colleagues. The project also gave students the opportunity to realize that individual and group action does make a difference in our world, and deep understanding of societal processes allows them to act upon it. |
