In Our World of Patterns

The “In Our World of Patterns” project focused on patterns, mathematics, cultures, traditions, lifestyles and how patterns symbolize philosophy of one community. The objectives of the project were to encourage the student participants to identify and understand the patterns which are usually found in mathematics or other subjects in school. Students were then encouraged to observe and explore the patterns that represent the various philosophies in their respective cultures, lifestyle, fashion, or in other ways. The project was implemented in three phases, from January to June 2009.
