Let’s Celebrate!

The project “Let’s Celebrate!” allowed the students to know more about the different cultural practices during celebration of events and festivals. After all, joyous occasions, such as birthdays and weddings, are celebrated differently in various countries. Through the exchange of information and a comparison and contrast analysis, students had the opportunity to know and understand the similarities and differences of how joyous occasions are celebrated in different countries. Students were encouraged to gather and upload actual accounts and videos showcasing an actual celebration taking place. They then re-enacted the celebration of an overseas partner through a skit, to experience the festival as well as to demonstrate the similarities and differences identified.
