One of the ASEF ClassNet Award winning projects at the 6th ASEF ClassNet Conference, the Local Traditions and Ceremonies aimed to provide Asian and European students with an opportunity to discover the traditions and ceremonies that are significant in their countries. This time, the project will focused on the traditional forms of theatre in Asia and Europe. Students were able to investigate the historical framework of traditional theatre in their country. They were also encouraged to investigate what a traditional performance consists of, such as context, set and decoration, public audience and social status, making of figures / properties, costume, music, profile of the characters / protagonists etc. |
