Description |
This project was a sequel from the last project From Naga to the Earth 2010. It focused on traditional houses. Students had to find the ‘messages’ from the ancestor/builder by learning their local/traditional/ethnic houses. They learnt from its concept/philosophy, historical story, architecture, function of design, building material, interior, colour, pattern, etc. They sought to find out if many traditional houses used natural material for environmentally friendly purposes. After the research, they reported their ideas using different kinds of media, which they compared with the others. Furthermore, the schools were encouraged to create an event, at which the students could share the ‘messages’ from their own relevant local/ traditional/ethnic houses, as well as those of students from other schools in Asia and Europe. |
