Origins@VirtualHomeStay

The objective of the project was to allow students to have a better understanding of the origins of different areas of their home countries. These were divided into 6 broad categories; namely, Places, Events, Cultures, Food, Interesting Practices and Significant Icons. Students had to find out what and when was the first time a certain event took place. They researched from where certain delicacies in their respective country originated, and how the delicacies got their names. Throughout their research and through sharing this research, students found out more about the past events, places and even food in their own and other students’ countries. Finally, the project required students to create a video clip, a TV Programme, webpage and other ways to showcase their findings.
