Physics in Daily Life

Title Physics in Daily Life
Theme Science and Technology
Year 2012

Award
Description

The objective of the project was to encourage students to observe physics-related phenomena and events in daily life and explain these by the principles of physics. For example, why won’t a spinning top fall down and why can a kite fly to the sky? In this project, students paid closer attention to social life and used their knowledge of physics more effectively in daily life. A website was created where students from different countries could discuss the unknown phenomena. From the observation of physical phenomena, this project, promoted the exchange of information, and helped students to understand better the lifestyles of people from the East and the West.
