S3 – Snap, Save, Sell!

The project had three stages: (1) Students took a picture of a waste material they found in their communities and creatively posted a write-up on the S3 website to explain the harmful effect that particular waste has on the environment. (2) A creative/decorative/useful item was crafted using the waste product, and participating schools thought of ways for it to be recycled (3) Students sold a number of the creative items they produced to raise funds for a certain cause. Through S3, students were made aware of everyday products that just go to waste, appreciated the importance of recycling, and learnt how to channel their creative energies to raise funds for a cause.
