Description |
“Save Our Plant Using Biodegradable Plastics” was a project that focused on finding a more environmentally friendly method to make biodegradable plastics. The waste of objects made by plastics can cause a big problem in our environment since the materials from plastics do not decompose easily, and may give off poisonous gases when they are burnt. In this project, the students tried many kinds of methods to make biodegradable plastics. The idea of this project was to use vegetable oil and corn starch incorporated in plastic materials. Bacteria would then be used to destroy the vegetable oil and corn starch in the plastic; therefore, disintegrating the plastic into a fine dust. |
