The World of Picture Books

Reading out loud kindles a love for books, reading and learning in young children. In this project, students embarked on a journey through the world of picture books. The first destination of their journey was close to home: they reflected on their own experiences with picture books and composed an interactive reading autobiography. As the journey continued, they started looking around their country, learning more about famous picture books and the stories behind these books. As a third destination, they travelled all over the world, virtually, being introduced to the picture books that are popular in other countries. During the project, they shared their experiences in presentations, posters and videos, and created a digital picture book for 3-4 year old children in which they introduce their own country to children from other countries.
